Landmark play with everything a new community needs
For their new development Riverbank, greenfield property developers Peet engaged Saunders Havill to create an outdoor recreation hub that would engage new residents of all ages.
This park truly has it all: sports zones, a pump track, ample park amenities and world-class Play and Fitness equipment from KOMPAN.
Choosing an Ocean theme, the destination play space has a diverse selection of equipment that highlights the location close to Redland Bay. The soaring GIANTS tower, climbing net and solitaire freestanding items depict sharks, fish, coral, seaweed and dolphins for immersive pretend-play.
Kids can stay engaged for hours with the vertical play opportunities alone, but there's even more to do with the pump track and sports areas prompting intergenerational physical activity.
Adults can also enjoy the space with the football field and basketball half court, as well as a durable and effective KOMPAN outdoor fitness zone, which utilizes the popular Fit App to guide users through sweat-inducing exercises. The 'stay factor' is a much-appreciated aspect of this park: comfort for older visitors and guardians is catered to with plenty of shade, toilet blocks, barbecues, picnic tables and parking close by.

This playground has something for everyone! Adventurous kids will be instantly drawn to the large commercial play structure at the centre of the playground. KOMPAN's Ocean Dome and sky-high Ocean Giants tower immediately appeal to children with their physical climbing and sliding activities, recognisable theme, and spots to perch and observe other players in the area.
For younger children, they will enjoy the low-level play on the tower like the hammocks, puzzle play panel and talking tubes, while the Dolphin springer continues the theme and provides a slow and gentle (or fast and exciting!) rocking experience.
Other playground equipment like the Tipi Carousel and 3-way seesaw prompt thrilling social play while the birds nest swing and Robinia sand and water play station offer creative and sensory play opportunities.
