Webinar description

The challenge in making a sedentary generation of tweens active is outspoken: On a global scale, only around 23% of all 11 to 17-year-olds meet the minimum recommendations for physical activity. This is devastating, especially as tweens and teens repeatedly state that they like playful physical activity with friends. They like outdoor play and play areas, as long as the design accommodates them and not only younger children. How can designers and planners help bridge the conventional thinking of physical activity with the desires for physical activity that tweens express? Join the KOMPAN Play Institute webinar to get the brand new science and evidence on this and get 4 tips for designing active, fun school playgrounds for ages 9-13 years.
