The large Explorer Ship is an intense play vessel, drawing on children's zest for exploration and adventure. The rich variety and amount of play events in the ship will attract children and make them want to come back again and again. The varieties of climbing and crawling on bouncy and stable, inclined, horizontal and vertical ropes and planks motivates endless physical activity. Motor skills such as sense of balance and cross-coordination are thoroughly stimulated. Muscles in legs, arms and core are trained. This combination of training provides a foundation for judging distances, and navigating obstacles safely. Quiet and dramatic play spaces and details are heavily present, too: spaces under as well as over deck, cannons and binoculars all contribute to numerous dramatic play scenarios. This stimulates language development, as well as cooperation skills.

Play Value

Play value is the value gained from play, the value that makes the child “want” or developmentally “need” to undertake the activity and thus gives the play item holding power. Play value can be described very precisely in developmental terms, looking into the human physical, cognitive, social and emotional developmental stages.
