Appearing as an oasis in the industrial city of Varkaus, the new activity area creates a place for exercise and sociality for all citizens in the local community. The place is an initiative intended to create a local area that inspires an active lifestyle for residents of all ages and activity levels, to enjoy. By combining fitness equipment, a playground, and outdoor furniture, this place creates the optimal setting for bringing the community together. Integrated perfectly into the surrounding nature, the outdoor fitness area, as well as the playground, sets the stage for social interaction while being active.

New activity area became Varkaus' new focal point
The entire community gravitates toward the space that invites residents to be active in a social environment. KOMPAN’s Combi 3 structure gives users of all ages the complete street workout experience, featuring all essential elements for a full-body workout on calisthenics equipment. KOMPAN’s Suspension Trainer is one piece of the outdoor gym station that offers more than 49 different exercises where all muscle groups can be trained. This place provides a wonderful area for the whole family to spend time. While the grownups are working out, the children can explore the playground with the big Medite Frame Net. The Medite Frame Net offers a wild climbing experience and helps develop important motor skills such as proprioception and cross-body coordination.
