An oasis in the industrial city of Varkaus

Appearing as an oasis in the industrial city of Varkaus, the new activity area creates a place for exercise and sociality for all citizens in the local community. The place is an initiative intended to create a local area that inspires an active lifestyle for residents of all ages and activity levels, to enjoy. By combining outdoor fitness equipment, a playground and outdoor furniture, this place creates the optimal setting for bringing the community together. Integrated perfectly into the surrounding nature, the outdoor fitness area, as well as the playground, sets the stage for social interaction while being active.

There may very well be 150 to 200 people in this area.

New activity area became Varkaus' new focal point

The new area gravitates people from the whole community and invites residents to be active in a social environment. KOMPAN’s Combi 3 structure gives users of all ages the complete outdoor calisthenics experience, featuring all essential elements for a full-body workout. KOMPAN’s outdoor gym station the Suspension Trainer offers no less than 49 different exercises on which all muscle groups can be trained. This place provides a wonderful area for the whole family to spent time. While the grownups are working out, the children can explore the playground with the big Medite Frame Net. The Medite Frame Net offers a wild climbing experience and helps develop important motor skills such as proprioception and cross-body coordination.
