A playground that's out of this world
WOW: Want to be an astronaut? You've got to be in great shape. Children can rise to the galactic challenge by spinning on the planets, climbing on the Galaxy structure and meteor, jumping from star to star, flipping on the somersault bars, or getting into the seats before take-off from Earth. Doesn't that sound like astronomical fun?
STAY: The many activities in this design will create an active place for play. Not only can it get many children moving at the same time, but the many social and physical challenges will also keep them busy for a long time in this galaxy far, far away.
DEVELOP: Physical play is important for developing a good sense of balance, muscle strength, coordination skills, and good health. Yes, the benefits of physical play are many – children who have burned off energy are better prepared to concentrate in the classroom. The space travel theme is also a great opportunity to learn about space, the physics of space, gravity, and more interstellar topics. As the majority of play takes place at or near ground level, children with special needs can be part of the play.
