Buccaneer Bay, Dartford Borough Council
The leader of Dartford Borough Council, Councilor Jeremy Kite MBE was the driver of this huge playground refurbishment project (one of the best and largest that KOMPAN UK has been involved in). Dartford wanted to work with the best playground manufacturers and designers to fulfil the dreams of the leader and create a unique and immersive playground that would benefit the children of the borough for years to come.

Strutt Memorial Outdoor Gym
Historically, very little public consultation is done for public Outdoor Fitness areas. So they met with KOMPAN and discussed all the different options and the wide range of fitness equipment that was available to them within the market. Questions asked included: What were they actually looking to achieve? What outcomes did they really want?
KOMPAN worked with the council to create a space the community truly wanted.

King George V Playing Fields
Brentwood Council were interested in creating a new leisure hub with various activities, and an innovative new ‘pay-to-play’ area has opened in Brentwood, Essex.
Brentwood BC chose to work with KOMPAN because they felt our design provided the ultimate ‘WOW’ factor for the park; something which is very different from the more traditional play areas in the vicinity.

Lister Park
In developing the Lister Park play space, the council wanted to update the existing, out-of-date play area, however, it needed to be replaced with something that would be engaging and educational to the local community. They wanted a play area that would encourage children to get active and make them aware of their surroundings.

Weavers Field
Bethnal Green is a diverse area with people from various ethnicities, cultures, and religions throughout the community. The council wanted to create an area that could bring everyone together.
The playground's main unit is custom-made and aims to be inclusive in every way. It provides activities for both active children and those who prefer quieter play. It includes elements designed to challenge physical, cognitive and thinking skills, as well as creativity.

Arrow Valley
Redditch Borough Council wanted to create a stand-out attraction in a busy park that the community could enjoy for many years to come. Including a bespoke GIANT XL Lakeside Treehouse unit more than ticked the brief. The tower can be seen in all directions as children approach the playground.

Telford Town Park
With this being the most used play area in the borough, Telford and Wrekin Council wanted to produce a bespoke themed and inclusive play space. The design for their flagship park needed to be accessible to all ages and abilities.
The KOMPAN design presented, reflected the local history of the area. This included a miniature version of the Telford Iron Bridge using a Corocord piece. Inclusive items including a roundabout, spinner bowl and trampoline were added, plus interactive play panels.

Splashlands
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council wanted to install a ship-themed playground that would reflect the site's history and pay homage to the lido that used to be there in the '80s and '90s. When working on the brief our designers kept a waterpark theme in mind, adding dolphins and nautical-themed elements where possible. The use of Robinia throughout also gives the park a natural look.
