A walk on the wild side
At Givskud Zoo, the lions are the main attraction, but the playgrounds at the park have also become a preferred attraction for the visiting children. One of the playgrounds is a big natural playground. This site offers many experiences that excite children’s interest in nature, while parents can both relax and keep watch. It encourages children to explore their understanding of nature while they socialise with others in a natural outdoor environment. For older children, the 9-meter-high Sky Walk is a thrilling rope playground. The SkyWalk is a wonderful action-packed playscape that attracts kids to challenge themselves emotionally and physically.
Whenever the park conducts visitor satisfaction surveys, the playgrounds are always highlighted. Visitors normally spent about six hours at the zoo, and only about one-third of the time is spent looking at the animals, the rest is spent on recreational activities, such as the playgrounds, which are all from KOMPAN! It was, therefore, important for the park to add something thrilling for all children.
We have conducted visitor satisfaction surveys, and the playgrounds are often positively highlighted.

A playground for everyone
The natural playground brings play back to nature with its look and feel. It offers many options for challenging motor skills, strengths, and creativity. The younger children can go on an adventure in the wooden boat, scout animals in binoculars, or challenge themselves by climbing the tower. All this while parents can sit and relax while still being able to keep watch.
The Sky Walk provides endless play opportunities that will fill even the most action-packed children with a sense of adventure and quest. The Sky Walk attracts children and even parents to challenge themselves, to try and reach the top, using the many different entryways. The structure supports children’s social and emotional development as the children learn how to take turns and help each other on their way to the top. Once they reach the top, they are rewarded with a thrilling, stomach-tickling ride back to the ground in one of the two slides.
