The Surgeon General’s Report on Physical Activity and Health suggests that everyone should burn 150 calories of energy per day to maintain a healthy body composition. This energy balance is off for many children. Base Level
The Mount Meru Package offers thrilling play for school-age children. This slick design features varied slide, glide, and climb actions that support hours of play. Looping between the varied egresses keeps heart rates high while the transparent design supports social interaction as children talk with friends across the structure. With the addition of a Spinner Bowl and Double Somersault Bars, the Mount Meru Package encourages the development of turn-taking skills, as well as other fundamental social-emotional skills.
Alpine Level
The Pikes Peak Package amazes and delights children in the 5-12 age range. Meandering activities have both wilder and milder slides and glides, while the daredevil Firefighter’s Pole provides thrills and skills in spatial awareness. The tunnel offers an added challenge and motivates crawling, which develops cross-coordination that is important for reading. The addition of two Spinner Bowls and swings that encourage social play put the finishing touches on this package.
Summit Level
The Cantana Peak is a varied and physically challenging play structure. On ground level, the bench offers a place to socialize and share. The accessible stairway makes for easy access to the elevated level while the climbing pole offers more challenge and cross-coordination. Two slides lead back to ground level, offering an exhilarating feeling of height and speed. A Tipi Carousel with Top Brace and a Shell Seat Swing adds extra play value that will keep the 5- to 12-year-old crowd outside playing, not gaming.
