There is nothing as fun as swinging. The You & Me Seat adds to the joy by making it possible to swing in eye height with someone else. The back support helps younger children stay on the seat when the swinging starts. Their part of the swing has the seat positioned closer to the sturdy handholds, to add to the feeling of security. The older sibling or adult side is open and here the sturdy steel handholds allow for extensive swing movements. The ride is more than mere fun: the swinging movements train the child’s spatial awareness and sense of balance. A well-trained sense of balance and space helps children navigate the world securely, and adds to their self-confidence. Swinging together adds social-emotional benefits, e.g. cooperation and the feeling of belonging. All of these are fundamental when making friends.

Play Value

Play value is the value gained from play, the value that makes the child “want” or developmentally “need” to undertake the activity and thus gives the play item holding power. Play value can be described very precisely in developmental terms, looking into the human physical, cognitive, social and emotional developmental stages.
