Maintaining and possibly improving physical mobility is a crucial practice to keep as we age. Decreased mobility brings a heightened risk of trips, slips and falls; stumbles that can lead to serious mishaps for elderly people. Designed with active, healthy aging in mind, the outdoor exercise equipment for seniors provides mobility exercises and injury rehabilitation in a public space. The surrounding garden invites everyone to get moving on the adjustable outdoor weightlifting machines and cardio equipment. Uneven surface work, balancing, and stair stepping, movements we find in everyday life, allows everyone to set their own pace at the Stay Fit Area.
