A landmark and a playground in one that says WOW
The client for Riverside Green in the iconic Southbank precinct of Brisbane, Australia wanted something iconic. Something that would stand out and fit in with the unique location and character of Southbank. The landscape architects on the project had a clear design vision that required WOWing the community, so they partnered with KOMPAN to manifest their design ideas in play equipment and bring the WOW factor to children and parents alike. The results speak for themselves: A large custom solution, so clear and original in its pink design expression - tailor-made to fit its environment and purpose.
Everybody loved it from day one. It's vibrant and colourful, it has become a landmark for Brisbane.

"On a scale from 1 to 10 - It would be 100"
Looking at the faces of the children playing, there is no doubt that they love the custom playground equipment at Riverside Green Park. And with good reason - the playground is loaded with one-of-a-kind play activities for children of all ages, surrounded by a vibrant design that WOWs both children and adults. Children love a good thrill, and the commercial slides for playgrounds really deliver. This playground holds numerous slides at different levels that are thrilling for both small children and teenagers. The Supernova will give children a good spin with friends, improving their balance and spatial awareness. The Moments Pirate ship calls out for hours of dramatic play, where children unfold their imagination by sailing the seven seas or fighting pirates. Swings are the evergreen of playgrounds - children love them and swinging helps them develop coordination and balance. Finally, children will meet an infinite number of possible paths of Corocord rope nets leading up to the pink Skywalk. Climbing their way to the top will challenge their cross-coordination skills and strength. At the top, they will encounter Sky Towers with a free-hanging and see-thru rope bridge leading from one Sky Tower to the other.
