Kindergarten children playing outside on playground in germany

Improve children´s motor skills and courage with a new playground

A kindergarten's foremost duty is to get children ready for school life, both cognitively and physically. Toddlers and preschoolers develop at an astonishing rate, and with children ranging from 4 months up to school-age, a playground would need to support that development for all age groups. With a playground from KOMPAN, the kindergarten Kreismäuse was able to get a playground that adds to the children’s well-being as well as supports their learning curve. By dividing the playground into "age sections" they were able to accommodate each child's need. After only a short amount of time, the pedagogues experienced a tremendous improvement in the children’s motor skills and courage. They were amazed by how fast the children improved and developed new skills every day through play.

Every day we experience that the children discover and experience new things for themselves, and we have already determined that motor skills are improved.

Learning important life skills through play

To ensure the children’s development the playground consists of fun and familiar elements that encourage role-play. Like the car, with its familiar features, it encourages the child to engage in role-playing which supports language and communication skills, as does the sand table where multiple children can play and build at the same time. The older children can be challenged physically on the tower-net or bannister bars which improves coordination skills. The wobbly bridge trains their sense of balance and is fun to jump on or run across when the child gets more comfortable with it.
