"No, I don’t want to go yet!"

Northumbrian Water partnered with KOMPAN to transform their play area, set beside the UK’s largest man-made lake. Children climbing to the top of the play castle can enjoy stunning views, but more importantly, they’ll want to stay and play for hours. By investing in a KOMPAN playground, Northumbrian Water enhanced its appeal to families, boosting the success of their local holiday destinations, restaurants, and local businesses. Happy, engaged children mean parents are more likely to stay longer, spend more, and use the area’s amenities.

Playgrounds that Enhance Stunning Surroundings

Northumbrian Water’s priority was to elevate their business profile with a playground that not only looked stunning but also blended seamlessly into the natural landscape, while being environmentally friendly. That’s why KOMPAN’s design uses FSC-certified Robinia wood from sustainable European sources, known for its low emissions.

At the heart of the design is the impressive 3-tower Robinia Castle, this piece of wooden playground equipment offers a wide range of play values for all abilities, from ground level to upper-level adventures. Crafted from sustainable Robinia hardwood, it’s a true statement piece. The playground design is thoughtfully integrated into the landscape, following the natural contours to fit into the surroundings, rather than sitting on them. And with breathtaking views of Kielder Water, this playground truly has become a destination for families.
