Outdoor Gym Equipment Designed to Bring the Indoor Experience Outside
KOMPAN is the supplier of all Barnet Council’s play and fitness equipment through their procurement framework. We were tasked with designing an outdoor extension to complement the nearby indoor gym, providing users with the opportunity to enjoy free fitness activities in a natural setting. Our solution incorporated a range of gym equipment to replicate the indoor gym experience, including resistance strength equipment, outdoor exercise bikes, and cross trainers with screens. Additionally, we included calisthenics training stations.
The goal was to cater to a wide range of fitness levels and preferences by offering calisthenics equipment as well as equipment for cardio, strength, and balance exercises, thereby promoting physical activity among residents of all abilities. The outdoor gym was designed to ensure everyone can work out together. The equipment included allows all users to exercise effectively, offering as many different workout options as possible.
Revitalising Fitness with an Outdoor Gym for Everyone
The new outdoor gym has significantly increased the number of people engaging in physical exercise in the area. The diverse range of equipment accommodates various fitness levels, encouraging broader community participation. The modern design of the equipment has also enhanced the visual appeal of the recreation ground, making it a more attractive destination for leisure and relaxation. Effective exercise is further supported by the KOMPAN Fitness app which helps guide, mentor and measure performance. Many people, of a wide range of ages and abilities are able to use the facility alone, in pairs, or as part of a group. The site is great for beginners and the less able, right through to the super fit. The location is ideal for those using the Leisure Centre or those with children using the adjacent playground. The finished scheme has received many positive comments and feedback from the local residebts.
