Play and learn

At the side of Chapelside’s playground was an existing trim trail that was unused. In our design we concentrated on providing play opportunities for physical play that would compliment the existing trim trail. The three main pieces of play equipment offer high capacity, allowing many children to play together. This ensures that they all get a chance to have a go during playtime.

The equipment features a BLOQX climber and SUPERNOVA spinner. These are both from the learning playground range and come with a learning pack of activities and workbooks - allowing for excellent outdoor learning and great outcomes for engaging children with mathematics.

Feedback from parent group

The garden area and outdoor classroom was an absolute must and speaking with the parent group it was clear that it would be essential to incorporate some of the children’s ideas to really personalise the space.

KOMPAN’s castle was also incorporated into the space, offering numerous play features that support creative thinking. This makes all the equipment an excellent resource for boosting attainment levels. Additionally, a stage area featuring the school logo was included, creating a fantastic 'stage' space. This encourages children to express themselves, leading to more confident and happy students, which positively impacts their classroom learning.
