Outdoor Playground Equipment for KS1 & KS2 School Kids

St Dominic Catholic Primary School required a complete refurb of both their KS1 and KS2 play areas. The surfacing was peeling away from the tarmac and was beginning to look very tired. The children were starting to find other areas to play as the play value was low and not engaging enough. More challenge and colour was needed!

A consultation with both key stages was held and a ship theme was liked by the majority of KS1, especially with the fun sea themed graphics in the surfacing, adding to the overall aesthetic. KS2 wanted height and lots to do.

Within our design proposal we replaced the old timber ship and climbing towers that were at end of life and beginning to rot. The suggested Triple Tower Unit won hands down and the addition of the rollover bars was very much appreciated. The school colours are yellow and blue so the playground surfacing matched that, making both areas more fun and appealing.

The Result?

The children now have a space where they can climb, slide, hangout, glide and much more. They have been absolutely delighted with the result and the staff said the playground installation team was fantastic, pulling out all the stops to be ready for September opening. Communication was excellent and we were even able to repair the surfacing to another area, prolonging the life of their trim trail.

The new school playground equipment has helped make this play area a great space to burn off energy whilst being in a safe and secure environment. The feedback from the school has been fantastic, the children and staff are overjoyed with their new play area.
