Design idea of a schoolyard with multi ball games areas

An active school playground where pupils can burn energy, socialise, and grow friendships

A KOMPAN Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) is designed as a flexible system to fit any purpose or environment. The intelligent design makes it easy to host many kinds of games such as football, basketball, hockey, volleyball, tennis, handball, badminton… the list goes on. Ball sport areas in schools are popular, and both teachers and children are enthusiastic about them. Teachers often report that the pitches have increased physical activity with fewer conflicts during breaks. The stimulation from playing games has also helped increase concentration and willingness to learn amongst the children in the classroom. And the children? They love having an open invitation to play and enjoy themselves! The fully flat inside of the MUGA helps keep balls in play, intensifying the game as there will be fewer disruptions from losing balls. At the same time, children playing outside the MUGA will not be disturbed by balls flying out of the court.
