It is totally appropriate that Parc Monceau in Paris has a KOMPAN playground. If the architect responsible for the 18th Century park, Louis Carmontelle, were alive today he would be head-hunted by KOMPAN. His views on recreational space and how people can get the most out of it, mirror those of today’s designers. The children of Paris’s 8th Arrondissement would agree. The playground is a valuable addition to the park that was previously notable for its collection of interesting follies.

Parc Monceau’s playground features have intentionally a high novelty value for kids who are well used to climbing stairs in their nearby apartments. The carousels, springers and swings introduce a different kind of movement and the freedom of the dome-shaped climbing net lets them develop and express themselves on a refreshingly different level.
